In a major step toward strengthening sustainability in Egypt’s cement industry, Misr Beni Suef Cement Company has obtained Type III Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for three of its strategic cement products, namely:
• CEM I 42.5 N

• CEM I 52.5 N

The total CO₂ emissions associated with these products are as follows:CO₂) لهذه المنتجات على النحو التالي:
• 806 كجم CO₂ per ton for CEM CEM I 42.5 N
• 813 كجم CO₂ per ton for CEM CEM I 42.5 R
• 820 كجم CO₂ per ton for CEM CEM I 52.5 N
These EPDs are issued under The International EPD® System, operated by EPD International AB (Sweden), one of the most globally recognized EPD program operators.
The declarations are prepared in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 +A2, based on a full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) following ISO 14040/44, and in compliance with the official Product Category Rules (PCR 2019:14 and the complementary PCR for cement)
All declarations have been independently verified by an approved third-party verifier, Intertek, ensuring the highest level of credibility and transparency.
With these CO₂ emission levels, Misr Beni Suef Cement products represent the lowest carbon footprint in Egypt for comparable cement types, achieving a reduction exceeding 180 kg CO₂ per ton compared to similar products in the local market.
